Event Information
We are really looking forward to welcoming you to the inaugural South West Double Reed Day hosted by Wells Cathedral School. The day has proved to be very popular and is going to be very well attended.
Please read the following information very carefully as it is designed to make the day run as smoothly as possible for all those who will be coming.
Arrival
Please arrive in plenty of time to find the Music School, drop off and park as necessary. Registration starts at 9.00am although we can always sign you in before that if we can. Parking is always a problem as is the one-way system around the city, so please allow plenty of time. We don’t want you to miss out on the start of the day.

You can drop off people and instruments at the Music School on Cathedral Green. Please note that parking on Cathedral Green is only for an hour. Free parking is available in the school car park - Mundy's Meadow, top left of the map off Mountery Road as you enter Wells from the Bristol Road. Or you may also find on-street parking along Tor Street at the bottom of the map.

Refreshments
We will provide tea, coffee, squash and biscuits throughout the day. Lunch is not provided but there are food outlets of all types to suit all tastes and budgets within a few minutes walk. You’re very welcome to bring packed lunches.

Concert
Because of the large number of participants attending the day, we will have to limit numbers attending the concert at the end of the day. We are not allowed more than a certain number in the Concert Hall so will have to give priority to the paying course participants. We realise that parents and friends may well be coming to collect people at the end of the day hoping to hear the concert – we just ask that they are understanding of the problem and know this in advance.
The foyer of the Music School and the refreshments will still be open so you will not be left outside!
